CINCINNATI (November 1, 2024) – On Monday, October 14, the Jeff Ruby Foundation hosted its annual fundraiser, raising nearly $900,000 to help support vulnerable youth in the various communities that Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment serves. The day kicked off at Coldstream Country Club and ended with a private dinner party.

According to the most recent federal data, there are nearly 400,000 children in foster care in the United States. Nationally, the high school graduation rate for children in foster care is 55% and 74% of the U.S. prison population were former foster children. The Jeff Ruby Foundation was created to give a fighting chance to all those who have none with a mission to find solutions to providing stable and loving homes for vulnerable youth.

“What changed my dad’s life, what turned him around was a high school football coach that took him under his wing, provided mentorship, and guidance, and was, for the first time, someone he wanted to make proud,” said Dillon Ruby, President of the Jeff Ruby Foundation & Co-Owner of Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment. “That is what our Foundation is really about; it’s about the importance of having a positive role model. There are so many vulnerable youth in our community that don’t have that. And over the years, we’ve had dozens of surrogate brothers that he’s taken in under his wing who have had similar childhood experiences and they’re our brothers. They’re our family.”

Jeff Ruby Foundation partners and beneficiaries in Cincinnati include the Coalition of Care, DCCH Center for Children & Families, Beech Acres Parenting Center, and La SOUPE. Additionally, the foundation supports the Mid-Ohio Food Collective in Columbus, Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee in Nashville, Dare to Care Food Bank in Louisville, and God’s Pantry Food Bank and The Nest in Lexington.

Britney Ruby Miller, President & CEO of Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment, agrees.

“The Jeff Ruby Foundation is such an important component of our organization’s mission and the impact we make in the communities we serve,” said Ruby Miller. “As my father says, every child deserves a safe home and a loving family, and proceeds from the fundraiser event will go a long way in providing love and support to many children.”

The Jeff Ruby Foundation is grateful for its esteemed panel of sponsors who helped make the event possible. These sponsors include:
