Co-Owner and Executive Vice President of Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment honored among some of the region’s top talent
CINCINNATI (September 24, 2024) – Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment (JRCE) is pleased to announce that Co-Owner and Executive Vice President, Dillon Ruby, has been named to the Cincinnati Business Courier’s Forty Under 40 list. This annual awards program recognizes young professionals in Greater Cincinnati building successful careers while giving back.
“On behalf of our entire team, we thank Dillon for his unwavering support and commitment to ensuring we are staffed with the best talent in our restaurants and home office,” said Britney Ruby Miller, President & CEO at Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment. “Not only has Dillon navigated the labor crisis with innovation and expertise, but more importantly he never wavered from the Ruby way. Dillon exemplifies our core values and company mission to transform the hospitality industry.”
Over the last several years, Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment has experienced rapid growth, now employing 900 individuals and generating $100M in revenue. Key drivers to this success are the company’s culture, its ability to acquire and retain talent, and its focus on employee development, all of which can be attributed to Ruby’s leadership. He also spearheaded the development of the company’s Purpose, Vision, Mission, and Values platforms and unique rewards system. The “Suitcase Awards” are an opportunity for team members to recognize individuals monthly within their individual restaurant, event center, or office who have demonstrated one of the company’s values with excellence.
“Dillon Ruby is the epitome of a great leader,” said Neal Collinsworth, Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment COO. “His understanding and empathy around the people part of our business is truly amazing. Dillon has taken an innovative approach to leadership and hiring that helped elevate our company and create a path forward for success.”
In addition to his role as Co-Owner and Executive Vice President, Ruby also serves as President of The Jeff Ruby Foundation, which was formed in 2018 to drive systematic changes for those impacted by the foster care system. Ruby oversees the organization’s mission to improve the lives of at-risk youth in all of the communities that Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment serves. He also successfully revitalized the foundation in 2023 after pausing efforts during the pandemic as restaurants were forced to shut down.
Ruby’s community involvement includes serving on the Cincinnati State Alumni Board where his primary purpose is to raise scholarship funds for Cincinnati State students. Additionally, he serves on the board of Cincinnati Works, where Dillon helps with efforts to end poverty by providing tools and resources for their members to enter/re-enter the workforce. In 2024 Dillon joined the Cincinnati State Foundation Board.
